Crendon FastTrack Honda’s Tommy Searle will be lining up for the MX1 class this weekend, unlike his team mate Jake Nicholls who will be missing out the second round due to a shoulder injury.
Nicholls unfortunately suffered a practice crash before round one, and is just not ready to get back to racing speed for this weekend, and will be sitting out round two. However his Searle and MX2 rider Jay Hague will be cracking on in his absence.
Team boss Dave Thorpe explained to DBR how preparations had gone for round two:
“Tommy is really looking forward to lyng, he likes the track so is in a good place at the minute,” said Thorpe.
“He’s really, really happy with the bike and is happy with his condition, so yeah, a solid start at round one so it’s just looking to build on everything from there really.”
Speaking about the team’s MX2 rider, Thorpe said, “I was with Jay at Fatcat yesterday. He’s looking forward to the weekend. He rode really, really well at Culham, he just made a small mistake in both races with big consequences for him but he’s riding well. He just has to focus on the race.”
