OakLeaf Honda made their return to the Revo MXGB paddock this past weekend at Culham, with Elliott Banks Browne lining up for the MX1 Class.
Speaking to EBB after his return to racing, he explained how they have been getting on with organising the team.
“It’s been a while. A couple of years now. We started a new team as well, we said the thing came late but it was a really good job. The whole OakLeaf crew really put a lot of time into me and then we got here, so it’s good,” he said.
“We’ve got a good little set up and were excited. Honestly I probably had 10 days on the bike in about 17 months so not ideal coming into the first race.
“To be honest, the day was good. The first one we struggled badly I got a bad start and just didn’t really feel it, struggling with the bike changing a lot of stuff between the first and second motos. The second one was a different story really, we ran up the front and in a good little battle there for a second and then a couple of laps to go there was a few small problems and dropped back a bit.
“It’s been a long long time since I raced at this level so it’s good to see where we stacked up and good especially for the new team so I was happy overall like obviously the overall position wasn’t as good as it could have been, On a whole the speed is good team was good. Everything ran well so I’m looking forward to it.”
