One of the most spectacular tracks on the calendar, Canada Heights in Swanley hosts round two of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship, supported by Pro Clean, this Sunday.

The circuit is a combination of sand and rolling natural terrain that is not only great for the riders – it’s awesome for the spectators too.

The venue has been a staple on the calendar of the championship for many years, and the history of the track dates back to the 1950s.

As for the racing, this weekend you can look forward to a showdown between Britain’s best and most famed riders, namely Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki’s Tommy Searle and Wilvo Virus Performance KTM’s Shaun Simpson.

In March at the opening round in Lyng, a very focused and determined Searle rolled up to the line and blitzed the field for a double moto victory.

Shaun will definitely be out for redemption this weekend and given the fact he won all three races here last year (the series runs with two motos per round in 2016), we should get to watch a great battle.

MX2

One pilot hoping to get his season off to a start is Wilvo Virus Performance KTM’s Adam Sterry who makes his return to racing at Canada Heights. But round one runaways, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Max Anstie and Conrad Mewse are unable to commit to the championship due to contracts with their offshore team. So the MX2 class is anybody’s game!

Is it on TV?

For media coverage, world-renowned sports channel Eurosport is the main television broadcaster of the series this year and they will be onsite filming exclusive insights and interviews with Amy-Louise Henry and former British Motocross Champion Paul Malin.

The exclusive footage will be combined with highlights of the racing and will be aired in a week’s time on Eurosport, prime time Saturday.

If you can’t wait that long or are unable to watch the highlights on Eurosport, Dirt Bike Rider will have its own action footage available right here on dirtbikerider.com on the evening of April 25.
