After Eli Tomac’s crash allowed him to inherit the lead, Ken Roczen went down and gave Ryan Dungey the opportunity to catch up to him.
The two former team-mates battled for the top spot, and as Dungey made the pass, Roczen went down a second time. After the race, Roczen said the two crashes were the result of a flat tyre.
