It looks as though JGRMX – one of the top teams in both AMA SX and MX since 2008 – has folded with the news coming just days after Suzuki USA announced the conclusion of its four-year partnership with the team.
Formed as an off-shoot of the Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR team on Yamaha machinery, over the years it’s fielded riders including Josh Grant, James Stewart and Justin Barcia and has achieved considerable success.
If it is true then it’s another blow to the sport both Stateside and globally, coming so soon after Geico Honda shut up shop.
