The Monster Energy Supercross series returns to Anaheim for the third round of the 2015 championship. Tyler Bowers is within striking distance of the points lead in the championship chase in the Western Region and Chris Alldredge is picking up steam in search of his first podium.
“With a good start I know I can win races, so I’ll continue to work on those this week and we’ll be ready for A2,” said Bowers. In the mains of the season opener and last Saturday in Phoenix, Bowers proved his ability to ride up through the pack and hold his position up front when it counts. By adding the quick starts in his heat races, Bowers’ team feels he is certain to capture the win he is looking for — and he is gunning for that first of 2015 this weekend.
Chris Alldredge is a quick study, making big gains in qualifying, his heat race and in the Main Event at his second event with Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki. Alldredge had a great top five start in the Main in Phoenix. He rode upfront in the top 10 aboard his KX250F until three laps to go when a small tip over dropped him back to cross the line in 15th.
Alldredge said, “Getting the first round out of the way was good. Despite my crash, I felt good in the Main Event. I was pumped to get the start and be near the front and get a sense for the pace. I know what to expect now and will be ready for it.” Alldredge is looking to clinch a podium finish in short order.
Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit/ Kawasaki lead all teams in wins at Anaheim. Team-mates Chris Alldredge and Tyler Bowers plan on adding to the legacy when they return to Angel’s Stadium on Saturday night for Round 3.
