Well folks, it is official… ACU Events, the Series Promoter behind the Maxxis British Motocross Championship has announced that Max Anstie will be one of the wildcard riders at the third round, which takes place at the Foxhill venue on April 27.

Apart from the GP later in the year, this is likely to be Anstie’s only UK appearance during the season. With a week off from the busy GP schedule, the outspoken youngster will use the steep hillside Wiltshire circuit to get more time on his 2014 Yamaha.

However, he will not be there just to make up the numbers and will pose a fresh challenge to the registered MX2 elite, including red plate holder Mel Pocock and championship contenders, Matiss Karro and Neville Bradshaw.

Series Manager Brian Higgins explained, “This is exactly the reason we make provision for two wildcard riders in each class as we want to attract riders like Max to mix it in the races with our own registered riders. At the end of the season a single appearance will make no difference to the outcome of the championship as the fastest guy will come through over twenty four races.
