After his huge crash at the GP of Portugal on Sunday, the main worry for Matiss Karro was his left wrist.

Following an x-ray at the medical centre, it was confirmed that the break he sustained in February looked to have stayed intact, however a scan back in Belgium yesterday confirmed another small fracture next to one of the screws which were used to fix the initial injury.

“We are all pretty dejected after finding out that Matiss will be out of action again, albeit for only around three weeks,” said the disappointed Team Manager, Steve Turner.

He added: “But to be honest anyone who witnessed that crash would agree that he is lucky to walk away with only this small injury. Matiss is obviously really down but with the support of everyone around him and his enthusiastic fans he’ll soon be back in action.”
