Lacapelle Marival in France will meet once again for one of the main international pre-season motocross races on February 16, two weeks prior the opening round of the MXGP world championship at Matterley Basin.

Who will be the next rider to win the French event, after ClĆ©ment Desalle (2017) and Jeffrey Herlings (2018)? Itā€™s for sure too early to say, as the club just started talking with managers and riders after securing their date for 2020.

“As always we had to wait for the MXGP calendar to fix a date, and after talking with several main actors of the sport we do as always, organising two weeks prior to the first GP,” said Vincent Ayroles.

“Itā€™s our traditional date, we had also the option to run the event one week later but itā€™s too close to the British GP for many teams.ā€

As usual, the event will have separate races for the MX2 and MXGP classes, with two races per class and a super final with the best 20 riders of each class. The track will remain similar to last year, but the club has started working on the paddock facilities to offer more space for everyone.
