Kristian Whatley has taken to social media to thank MVR-D and to declare the “start of a new chapter”.

The 2013 British motocross champion, who has spent the last two seasons with the Buildbase Honda team, was not part of the 2017 rider lineup announced by David Thorpe last month.

Rumours were doing the rounds at the International Dirt Bike Show last month that he was destined for a Husky ride and his social media posts with the Husqvarna FC450 appear to all but confirm it. Whatley is expected to contest the ’17 British championship, Arenacross and possibly some Grands Prix rounds with the MVR-D outfit.
