In just a few day’s time some of the UK and Europe’s top adult and youth motocross riders will be rocking up at Weston-super-Mare for a weekend of bar-banging on the beach!

Red Bull Pro Nationals have already stormed the beaches at the Somerset resort with a series of FMX displays that attracted 13,000 spectators to Princess Anne Square. And now e22 Sports are getting ready to roll out the big guns for the main event – round two of the Red Bull Pro Nationals.

MBO Sport Yamaha’s Kristian Whatley dominated MX1 at the opening round in Landrake last month running 1-1-2 and having spent most of his formative years turning laps around Matchams Park has some super skills in the soft stuff.

“Yeah, it’s pretty safe to say I grew up riding sand,” says the 23-yearold. “In recent years I’ve concentrated more on picking up my speed on hardpack but I definitely enjoy riding sand more.

“I’m really looking forward to Weston but first I’ve got a couple of days testing next week in the sand to finalise a few settings.

“Milko Potisek is going to go well at Weston but there’s such a strong field and so many fast riders it’s impossible to say who’s going to be up there. All I can do is be on top of my game and ride as well as I can.”
