Kitvision Action Cameras has been in touch with us about their new Edge HD30W action camera and it looks to have some nice top of the range features.
As well as full HD 1080i video recording and a 175 degree wide angle lens, the Edge HD30W is waterproof to a depth of 100 metres, which should be handy for British motocross pilots!
In addition to the impressive sounding build it comes with built-in Wi-Fi, which allows you to transfer files to your PC or mobile device wirelessly. Alongside your main video file, the Edge automatically saves an optimised video file for easy uploading to social media sites.
Grab the iOS or Android App and you can even turn your smartphone into a viewfinder to watch recorded action or stream live.
The Kitvision Edge HD30W action camera takes 8 megapixel photos in single shot, fast shot and timed shot modes and we’ve been told that the smooth filming ensures slow motion replay that lets you savour every sensation of that epic moment.
The full high definition video recording in 1080i is at 60 frames per second, which allows you to capture everything you might have missed the first time round. Add to that the Edge’s 175 degree wide angle lens and 10 x digital zoom and you can guarantee you’re not missing any of the action.
There’s a wide range of essential accessories, including mounts to attach it to a helmet and a detachable TFT screen so you can monitor exactly what you’re filming. And if you’re an all-round adrenaline junkie you could take advantage of the included waterproof case so you can record water based activities like scuba-diving, surfing and wakeboarding!
