Xavier Boog, Maxime Desprey and Nicolas Dercourt dominated the opening round of the French Elite MX series at St Jean D’Angely on their debuts for Monster Bud Racing Kawasaki.

It was a rainy and muddy weekend at St Jean, but that was not a problem for the experienced Bud riders who defied the bad conditions to win both classes. In the MX1 class Xavier Boog just missed the hat trick, as he suffered from arm pump during the first race while leading easily. Second in this moto he later dominated the second race and the Super Final to collect the red plate as series leader.

The MX2 class was another Bud affair, as Maxime Desprey and young team-mate Nicolas Dercourt left St Jean in first and second position in the standings; Maxime won both MX2 races and brought the first 250cc bike home in third in the Super Final, while Nicolas finished twice runner up in the MX2 races, even leading his team-mate for a few laps in the first race, and then took fifth overall in the SuperFinal.
