After capturing two race wins from two at the Toowoomba MX Nationals round last year, National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Kade Mosig will enter the Queensland round full of confidence, as he looks to repeat his 2015 triumph.
Currently sitting fourth in the MX1 championship, Mosig is yet to land on the overall podium for season 2016, and will look towards the Toowoomba round for his first win.
Joining Mosig under the National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team awning will be 2011 Loretta Lynns 250A Class champion, Kyle Peters, with the fast American making his debut in Toowoomba.
The Echo Valley circuit is a favourite amongst riders, with the undulating hills combined with the rutted terrain setting the scene for some of the most spectacular racing on the calendar.
Marking the penultimate round of the 10 round MX Nationals Championship, getting a good result in Toowoomba will be critical, as it can either provide or deprive you of momentum before the season finale in Coolum.
- WHERE: Echo Valley Raceway, Toowoomba QLD
- WHEN: August 21, 2016
- EVENT NUMBER: Nine of 10
“I think Toowoomba is a proper motocross track,” said Mosig. “I think it’s one of the best we have in Australia, with the elevation and the type of soil it is; it’s just a real man’s track. Definitely one of the best for me, and I’m really looking to try and repeat the 1-1 we scored there last year!”
