Jake Shipton completes the four-man Apico Husqvarna team line-up alongside Stuart Edmonds in MX1 and Jamie Law and Matt Burrows who will contest the MX2 class on 250 two-strokes.

After splitting from Crescent Yamaha following a number of years with the team, Jake was initially looking at a support deal from Apico but decided to switch machinery and become part of the team.

ā€œIā€™ve noticed Apico Husqvarna in the paddock over recent years and only heard positive things about the team,ā€ said Jake. ā€œI liked what I saw ā€“ bikes well turned-out, a professional team set-up plus a fun approach to racing. Iā€™m super-excited to be joining the Apico family and riding the already proven Husqvarna FC450.

ā€œNext season is a huge change for me but Iā€™m confident itā€™s for the better. My main goal is to be a podium guy each weekend and get more wins to my name. I took the shortened season of 2020 to get an ongoing problem fixed which needed an operation so for 2021 Iā€™ll be more than ready and riding to my full potential again.ā€

Team boss Dylan Brown is happy to have Jake onboard.

ā€œIā€™m sure Jake will fit into the team well and bring solid results as he has before,ā€ he said. ā€œThis year has been tough for everyone and weā€™re hoping for things to return to normal in time for the gate to drop in the 2021 season. Thank you to all the sponsors that allow us to go racing.ā€

The team will contest the Michelin MX Masters series, the ACU British Motocross Championship and other selected events.
