Congratulations to Crescent Yamaha rider Jake Shipton who sewed up the Bridgestone British Masters MX1 title on Sunday at Cusses Gorse with a pair of solid third-placed finishes giving him the championship by 24 points.

Jake’s result makes it a clean sweep of the Masters’ Pro titles for the Dorset-based dealer after his team-mate Martin Barr won the MX2 title.

MX2 & MX1 Champions Martin Barr and Jake Shipton looking very happy

ā€œI’m really happy,ā€ said Jake. ā€œI never thought I’d be in this position so to be consistent throughout the whole series was pretty good. I was on the podium every single round. This year I’ve been working on consistency and there have been more ups than downs which is a positive.

ā€œIt feels great and it’s good to give something back to Paul [Denning] from Crescent as well. He’s supported me for four or five years and he was there to see it so it was pretty cool.ā€

Jake’s still finalising his plans for 2020 but hopes to be able to release some news in the next couple of days.
