It’s all change at the MCF with Gareth Chamberlain, the brother of Great Britain’s Motocross of Nations team boss Mark, taking over as General Manager and Sarah Hodkinson moving into a new role as Marketing Manager.

“I’m really excited to take on this new role as General Manager of the MCF,” said Chamberlain.

“I feel I have a lot to offer having built a broad knowledge through my different roles in the industry over the past 20 years.

“I’ve gone from joining my dad on club working parties as a kid to helping Team GB achieve podium success at the Motocross of Nations and everything in between.

“I am keen to get out and meet the volunteers who run our clubs who are the lifeblood of our sport.”

Hodkinson, who ran the marketing department at TMX and DBR for almost a decade, is eagerly anticipating the challenge.

“My first job will be to get the new licences out but it’s all about promoting the MCF, getting new clubs on board and helping to rebrand and reshape the organisation alongside Gareth,” she said.

“There’s also a new website on the way along with many more exciting changes.”

MCF Chairman Matt Bates is delighted with the new appointments. “I’m really pleased Gareth accepted the role alongside our great team,” he said. “We created the MCF with the intention of reducing costs for clubs while maintaining a healthy interest in how the sport develops.

“We’ve worked tirelessly for over 10 years introducing new people to riding off-road or attending as a fan – and I’m proud to say, with just as much enthusiasm as the day we started in 2007.

“Gareth’s passion for the sport and experience will be a huge benefit to the MCF.

“Sarah’s involvement in the sport as Marketing Manager of the two biggest publications [TMX and Dirt Bike Rider] means she not only has the experience but understands what it takes to get out and support our clubs at grassroots level too.

“Working alongside both Gareth Chamberlain and Gaynor Nash, I’m confident our team will continue to develop our position as the most popular, capable and supportive licensing organisation in the market.”
