Top British MX2 racer Bryan MacKenzie has signed to ride for the Moto One KTM team for 2012. The Scot’s had a stand-out season racing for LPE Kawasaki and his on-track efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by new Team Manager Darren Wilson.

“First off it’s nice to have another deal,” says Irn Bry, “as they’ve been hard to come by over the years! Darren’s super-keen – he’s always super-keen – and I know the KTMs are really good. I’m looking forward to getting a bike which I can fine-tune down to the smallest detail.

“This year I’ve hit all my targets so next year I want to win the Red Bull Pro Nationals and finish top three in the Maxxis with some race wins. And I’m also really pumped that the team’s from Scotland so I don’t have to drag my arse down south.”

Bry will be lead a three-man Moto One KTM assault on the Maxxis and Red Bull Pro National MX2 championships alongside Shane Carless and Mark Perfect.

“I am pleased that Bryan has agreed to ride within our tight-knit set-up in 2012 as I know he was on the shopping list of many top teams,” says Darren. “Shane I’m sure will show and shine for us next year as we firmly believe he can do the job required of him. Mark will thrive off the excitement and buzz the team will generate and we hope to see Mark break into the top 15 by the season’s end.

“The team also welcomes Bryan Connelly onboard as Chief Technician, Dean MacKenzie will operate within the team as Shane Carless’ mechanic and former top schoolboy Shaun MacDonald will work for Mark.”

The team will line up on Craigs Motorcycles KTM machinery and be kitted out in Thor clothing and helmets and Gaerne boots.

“It gives me great satisfaction to have signed on all these riders as I’m sure 2012 is going to be the year that Lady Luck takes a shine to me and takes me out on a date,” adds Darren. “Can I also take this opportunity to congratulate our 65cc pilot Alexander Brown on what can only be described as a domination of the British Youth Motocross Championship this season. Well done kid from all of your team!”
