Rockstar Suzuki’s Clement Desalle will not be fit enough in time to make a return to MXGP action at round 11 of the FIM series this weekend at Uddevalla, Sweden.

The Belgian went for a medical check yesterday (Wednesday) and was advised that his injured left knee and stretched MCL is still not strong enough to commence laps on his RM-Z450.

The 25 year old had some positive news regarding his shoulder and after some tests and examinations the joint was stable and may not require surgery.

His knee, hurt in a collision during the Qualification Heat for the French Grand Prix, needs more time. “I will take some more weeks for my knee and see how I feel on the bike in general. There is improvement but it has not come fast enough for Sweden. I hope for Latvia but we will see.”

Desalle had already written off his chances of the 2015 MXGP crown after being forced to pull out of the Grand Prix of Italy and he subsequently missed the round in Germany the following week.
