T’Maxxis kicks off this weekend which means you need to get yo’ sen to FatCat this Sunday…

FatCat Motoparc’s the place to be on Sunday – March 11 -as the Maxxis British Motocross Championship kicks off at the super-sandy super-venue that’s situated slap-bang next to junction four of the M18 near Doncaster!

We were up there on Thursday for a sneak peek and we can confirm that the track is in prime condition although you know it’s gonna be rougher than The Bear’s arse after qualifying which means all eight championship motos (three MX1, three MX2 and a pair of Vets races) are gonna be exciting and ting! Regardless of how sweet the track’s looking there’s a proper packed entry list in MX1 and MX2 the action’s gonna come thick and fast!

It’s hard to pick a winner in MX1 as the class is packed tight, like a tiger! We’re expecting to see a big battle between the imported talent (Marc de Reuver, Matiss Karro, Kevin Strijbos, Bert Krestinov) and the homeboys – Martin Barr, Kristian Whatley, Shaun Simpson and so on for the win! Will one of these speedy seven get the job done or will Scotsman Stephen Sword, Jason Dougan, Nez Parker or Dorren Coutts step up to the mark? Who knows and there’s only one place to be if you wanna know the results as they happen…

MX2 is equally tough to predict with Monster Energy Yamaha riders Arnaud Tonus and Zach Osborne set to do battle with KTM UK’s Elliott Banks-Browne, British SX champ Nev Bradshaw and speedy Scot Irn Bry MacKenzie. Mel Pocock’s also in with a shot of a podium place as are Nico Aubin, Graeme Irwin and Ray Rowson.

All the action kicks off at 9am with MX2 qualifying, the venue is seconds from junction four of the M18 in South Yorkshire and sunshine has been booked so no excuses – get yourself there!
