It’s official round six of the 2013 GT Cup will be held at the all-new Sherwood Forest race track.

Following fifteen days of hard graft and planning with the all work carried out by Alfie Smith’s AS17 crew the transformation to the circuit is remarkable.

New sections have been built which include step on/step off features, rollers, new jumps, new corner sections, and a new longer straight. Testing of the track has been done by Nez Parker and after a day of fine tuning the lay out, here is what Nez had to say:

“The track flows really well, it’s fun to ride, it’s technical but fast and it will be a good challenge for all the riders. The soft ground will create a choice of race lines and the jumps are all safe and easy to clear. I haven’t been able to race any of the rounds so far with other commitments but I would love to do this one.”

Series organiser Claudio said “The track will continue to be widened and made ready for race weekend. This test was only to see if the circuit fully met safety standards.”

Claudio also welcomes wild card entries, and they will be accepted from July 9.
