Fast Eddy Racing has signed a three-year deal with Rock Oil as title sponsor of the popular Fast Eddy XC Series.

The Fast Eddy Rock Oil XC series kicks on February 5 at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. Paul Edmondson clinched the deal at the NEC Expo on Tuesday with Rob Sheldon from Rock Oil.

Paul Edmondson: “This is great news for both the Fast Eddy Race Team and for the race series for the next three years. Rock Oil has given a long term commitment to both myself and Tom Sagar for our team efforts in 2012, 2013 and 2014 in addition to the XC series over the same time period.

“Also, Rock Oil has made a firm commitment to the Fast Eddy Youth Academy which will be run by Tom and myself and will help bring talented youngsters up to BEC standards and beyond. I am very pleased to have secured such a long term deal with Rock Oil who are heavily involved in all forms of motorsport.”

Rob Sheldon, Rock Oil: “We are very happy to have secured this deal with Paul Edmondson, the UK’s greatest enduro champion and ambassador for the sport. I am pleased to renew our association with the Fast Eddy organisation whose reputation is second to none.”

The opening round of the new series has had a slight adjustment made to the dates for the weekend. Stoneleigh Park have agreed an earlier start time so all three races – Kids, Adults morning and Adults afternoon – can now run on February 5.

The Kids race will start at 9.00am with the first adult race at 10.30am and the final race of the day at 1.00pm. Paul has scheduled the move for the kids from Saturday to Sunday in an effort to cut down on travelling expense for parents with kids who also wish to ride on Sunday.
