Briton Billy Bolt will not line up for the opening round of the 2019 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship this weekend after suffering an injury during practice for the GP of Poland.

The Rockstar Husqvarna Factory Racing rider reportedly broke the Fibula in his left leg and was treated at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Bolt is now facing an extended period on the sidelines.

The World Enduro Super Series champion is now focused on his recovery. “This post defiantly wasn’t part of the plan but it’s one that comes with the job description at times sadly,” wrote Bolt on Instagram. “Absolutely gutted to say the least but for now I have sights on nothing more than getting back to 100 per cent whatever it takes.”

“Thank you to [Jack Edmondson, Joe Clayton, Adam Chatfield and Tristan Young] for their help this week and to everyone else for the love. I will keep you updated.”
