DEP Pipes today announced their involvement with the new ACU British two-stroke championship as they get on board as an official sponsor.

With DEP being synonymous with two-stroke racing in the UK, having been title sponsors of previous two-stroke championships down the years, it seems an obvious choice for the company to get involved with the new ACU series, that will be part of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship over four rounds.

Like other sponsors, DEP Pipes will of course have a presence at the event, but they wanted to be a little bit different so DEP will also manufacture the trophies for the top three at each round of the series – and we can’t wait to see those.

Jeff Perrett, DEP’s marketing guru is already looking forward to the first round at Canada Heights on April 30. “The racing will be fast and tough and we love that, so I’m really looking forward to watching the races as a fan. We also love the sound of two-strokes bombing around, just that alone puts a smile on our faces, so we’re pleased and proud to be supporting this new series and hopefully, it will establish itself well and be around for many years to come.

Explaining DEP’s decision to support what is expected to be a very popular edition to the British racing calendar, Perrett said: “It was a no-brainer for us really, our name and reputation always gets linked with two-stroke racing with our history. Hopefully, this is a new chapter that will be a fun and successful for all.

“We’re happy to be involved with another race series. We’re already committed to youth racing right at the beginning in the form of the DEP Auto Challenge for 2017 and now we’re also supporting what will be another solid championship.

“It’s already proved its popularity with a full line up of entrants to the series and some really good riders on that list. We’re excited for the first round.”
