Supercross privateer Dean Wilson announced yesterday that he will be rocking O’Neal gear when he lines up at the A1 start gate this weekend.
Bringing on board new sponsors is vital for Deano and the timing, just days before the first gate drop of the 2017 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Championship, will give the popular Scot a big boost.
“New look for the year,” said Deano on Instagram. Adding: “Happy to be part of the @onealracing team. Thanks to Frank and Mark for their support. Always been a fan of the DR.”
There is no official word from O’Neal, and as yet, he’s not on their rider line-up on the company’s webpage, but that could be put down to a delay with the Holidays.
Wilson will be on a privateer Yamaha YZ450F at Anaheim’s Angel Stadium as he makes the gutsy (and expensive) move of putting himself in the shop window in the hope that he will pick up a factory ride.
