Cab Screens MX made the long trip to Shropshire for round four of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, powered by Skye Energy Drink, with Dan Thornhill competing in the premier MX1 class.
Qualifying saw Dan in creditable 16th place, but we always know Dan improves on his qualifying times by the time the gate drops.
Race 1
A mid-pack start by Dan saw him around 15th place and settle into a rhythm quickly for a strong 13th at the chequers.
Race 2
A great start by Dan saw him in seventh on lap one, only to make a small mistake on lap two, with four riders taking advantage of the error. Such is the competition for the top 10 that any small mistake gets punished. However, Dan settled into a good pace and finished with his best MX1 race result and the best ever for the team with a fantastic 11th place.
Race 3
Dan started race three around 15th, a position that he finished the race in. The track was so demanding come the last race of the day, but Dan rolled his sleeves up and got stuck in for another good result.
Overall Dan was 12th on the day, another personal best overall for him and the team, and Dan moved up one place in the championship standings to 16th.
A great day of racing in the sun and fantastic organisation by the Salop club.
