The battle between the top two Pro MX1 riders in the Bridgestone British Masters series will re-ignite at this weekend’s final round at Cusses Gorse where Jake Shipton (Crescent Yamaha) holds a slim 28-point advantage over Jake Millward (Chambers Husqvarna).

Jacob Joyce, Luke Smith and Robbie Dowson will all be fighting over third place and Elliott Banks-Browne will be out for race wins on his Geartec Husqvarna.

The Pro MX2 class has been thrown wide open as Martin Barr (Crescent Yamaha) crashed out last weekend and has broken his collarbone.

Rumour is that he is going to try and ride after having the bone plated but if he fails to race this will leave the championship open to Ben Franklin, Robert Yates and Ashton Dickinson.

The amateur MX1 class couldn’t be closer as just four points separate Adam Day and Harry Bradley but with 180 points up for grabs Luke Houghton, Matt Lomas and Gareth Artus still have an outside chance.

Realistically, who would bet against Oli Benton in the amateur MX2s as he has won every round so far and to win this weekend would give him the full set.

Greg Fisher has a comfortable 136-point lead over Alex Harvey in the Clubman with Jason Queenan just 10 points further back.

Only four points separate the top three in the 125 two-stroke class, so it’s almost like starting from scratch for leader Troy Willerton with Jordan Bachelor and Dylan Spencer both in the hunt.

Ike Carter needs just eight points from his last four races to clinch the MXY2 championship which leaves Kurt Griffiths, Aaron McLoughlin, Kyle McNichol and Billy Wynn to fight over second place.

Arai Elcock has a 19-point lead over Sam Atkinson in the Big-wheel 85s but it is even tighter in the Small-wheel 85s as Mckenzie Marshall has just a four-point lead over Tyla Hooley so it’s all still to play for.

Freddie Gardiner has just an 11-point lead over Charlie Richmond in the 65s but, mathematically, any of the top eight could win.

Entry for spectators is £10 with £5 for concessions and no charge for under threes. Camping is at no charge.
