Injured Ray Rowson will be replaced this bumper bank holiday weekend by the Crockstar, remember him?
Irish MX legend, Gordon Crockard, will ride in place of injured Ray Rowson for this weekend’s double-header at Hawkstone Red Bull Pro Nats round and the Maxxis British MX at Langrish on Monday.
Scooped up by Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki team at short notice after Rowson injured himself a coupleĀ of weeks back, multiple race-winner Crockard is looking forward to the double-header after a slowly decreasing workload these days. It’ll be good to see the old fella back on it at two classic circuits!
Having completed a whole season in MX1 on the Kawasaki KX450F in 2010, the LPE team hopes that the Crockstar already has his Kawasaki eye in and will return with a podium chasing performance on the Kawasaki Motors UK official entry in the class. No pressure Gordy!
Crockard says; “It’s nice to be back on a four-stroke KX and I know Steve James at LPE well. He’s been good to me in the past and the bike looks mint so it’s going to be great to be green again”.
For Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki team honcho James it’s some comfort after Rowson’s injury: “The mechanics, and all other members of the team have something to focus on which is great. We’ll give Gordon the best tools possible to chase for success and I know ray is wishing him all the best in his absence.”
Maxxis ACU action on Monday starts at 9am with practice and the first MX2 race at 12:15pm.
