Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely narrowly missed another podium in front of a Texas-sized crowd at AT&T Stadium during Monster Energy Supercross’ round seven.

He battled to the end, and after 20 hard laps, Seely collected fourth overall – his fourth top-five finish.

Seely made his first trip of the season to the semi races, giving him more track time to familiarise himself with the ever-changing dirt that challenged the riders all night.

In the Main Event, Seely made quick work of his competitors on the opening lap and found himself in third by Lap 4. With five laps to go, he was passed for third, but held a sizeable lead over fifth. “It would have been nice to get on the podium again, but we’ll go for it again next weekend,” said Seely. “It could be easy to get down on this one, but we’re fourth in points and I’m feeling solid right now. I’m ready for next weekend in Atlanta.”

The Dallas fans were in for a treat with the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge on exhibition during intermission. With the 15 rider lineup sporting Troy Lee Designs GP Air Youth Starburst Flo Orange Racewear with Youth Air Glove, the three lap event was all Jaden Palmer. After his victory, he proceeded to jump off his bike and do a victory dance. Joining him on the podium were Brody Cook and Braxtyn Watson.

Seely’s maintained his fourth overall in the championship standings. Monster Energy Supercross makes its first east coast stop when the series invades the Georgia Dome in Atlanta next weekend, February 27.
