Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely continued his steady improvement during his rookie campaign in the 450SX Class with a solid fifth-place finish in Oakland, California. The fourth stop of the series seemed to favour the Honda rider as he collected his best finish of the season.

Seely started the night in his finishing position, but it was anything but easy as riders challenged him to be on his game for the entire 20 laps. In the end, the cool and collected Seely walked away with enthusiasm with how the season is going.

“I’m really stoked with the way I rode tonight,” said Seely. “I showed my speed in practice and ran up front at the beginning of the main. I made a few mistakes, but regardless I’m happy to take home fifth and just keep improving from here.”

Seely moved up four spots to seventh in the points standings and will be back in action next weekend for the final of three stops to Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California on January 31.

Seely wore the new TLD SE Corse Black along with the SE3 Helmet One Shot Black/White CF at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California.
