A season of adversity continues for former European Champion Christophe Charlier with the Yamaha Factory Racing rider due to miss his home Grand Prix of France this weekend at St Jean D’Angely to correct a small problem with the meniscus in his left knee.

The Corsican will sit out round nine of seventeen in the FIM Motocross World Championship with minor surgery pencilled in for Monday June 2nd, which should allow him to return for the Grand Prix of Italy at Maggiora on June 14-15. Charlier will have a small piece of the external meniscus removed.

The 23 year old has been unable to utilise and show-off the speed and potential of the brand new 2014 factory YZ250F so far this term but the talented winner of two MX2 motos in 2013 is pushing to be back to full fitness for a determined charge at the calendar for the second phase this summer.
