Australian Chad Reed has confirmed the venues for his MXGP return in 2016 and British fans are in for a treat.

The 34-year-old pilot contested a full GP season back in 2001 where he finished second in the 250 class to Pichon and on June 19 at Matterley Basin, round 11, Reedy will make his return. He’ll then follow that up with another GP outing at the MXGP of Lombardia in Italy at the Mantova circuit on June 26.

Speaking to Youthstream Reed said: “I have always valued my one and only year in Europe and I’m so excited to come back after all these years. “I briefly mentioned it on social media and many UK and European fans have shown lots of enthusiasm so that in return makes it a ton of fun for me.”

Reed last raced in Europe in 2014 for Team Australia in the Motocross of Nations in Latvia.

The veteran pilot who famously runs with #22 in the States will need to select a new number with Belgian rider Kevin Strijbos already holding the same for the series, and of course Tony Cairoli runs #222.
