Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM UK’s Shaun Simpson has created a brand new initiative for fans of the popular #24 to lend their support and be a part of the 26 year old’s 2015 racing campaign as he vies to defend his British Championship and finish as top Brit once more in the FIM MXGP World Championship.

The ‘Simpson Army’ is housed within the revised website – forged by Ryan Watson Designs – and allows ‘recruits’ to upload a personal photo and message to the dedicated section.

For the sum of 50 pounds (65 euros) for the year members of the fan club will also receive: a personally signed large glossy photograph at the end of the season, a limited edition Shaun Simpson signed cap, regular updates and photos of Shaun’s racing activity, the chance to contact Shaun directly for questions or tips and the opportunity to take part in a one-off riding school day in the UK at the end of the season.

Signing up could not be easier. Fans only have to visit here and fill out their details online. “This was something we talked about in the off-season and it was a idea where we could do more for people that want to get a bit closer to the racing and be more involved,” said the KTM racer and last British winner of a Grand Prix in the premier class.

“With social media now it is much easier to see what we are up to throughout the year, which is pretty cool, but I hope this is also something that people might appreciate and I don’t think many other MXGP riders are doing.”

“Races can be chaotic and busy times – it is the moment that we spend hours training and preparing for – so aside from just being able to get an autograph here or a photo there I wanted to try a project like this. Every rider will tell you how much they appreciate the support of fans and people that like the sport.”

Simpson has a busy campaign ahead – 18 Grands Prix and eight British Championship rounds will be prefaced by a training stint in Spain at the end of this month and an appearance at the Hawkstone Park International on February 8.
