The lights of the PalaFiera shone brightly on the 33rd ‘Superbowl’ of Supercross on Saturday night as 9000 fans hungry for some European SX and Freestyle thrills were able to see American Justin Brayton walk the top step of the podium.

Two heats of action and various support classes (FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship hotshot Valentin Teillet was crowned SX2 European Champ) as well as tricks by the likes of FMX ace Andre Villa filled out a packed programme in northern Italy with the podiumees and racers like Christophe Pourcel adding star power.

Although AMA SX series protagonists Brayton and Tomac set the pace Paulin was also in the mix. “I didn’t really have too much time to prepare so I have to give big thanks to my team, KRT, for getting the bike ready with a supercross setting that worked well,” the French motocross Grand Prix talent said. “I went into the event with the aim of having fun and if a podium result came then that would be something extra. I enjoyed being there and each lap felt a bit easier for me. It had been a while since I’ve raced supercross but it was great to get back into the rhythm and be part of thatshow.”
