Fancy a bit of rider training with Honda World Motocross riders Evgeny Bobryshev and Rui Goncalves? The Big Red has announced an Xtreme Academy UK training day ahead of the British MXGP.
The training event under the expert eyes of Bobryshev, Gonçalves plus former GP winner and Xtreme Academy trainer, Brian Jorgensen is open to all Honda riders aged under 23 and takes place at Thoresway Honda Motoparc near Caistor, Lincolnshire on August 15.
If you didn’t already know the Honda Xtreme Academy is an initiative designed to nurture the next generation of talent under the Honda wing. It currently operates as a separate championship within the main national big wheel series in five countries. In the UK, past winners Adam Sterry and Brad Todd have gone on to race their machines successfully in the youth and adult British championships, while the 2012 championship is being led by Josh Gilbert with three rounds to go.
Evgeny Bobryshev, Honda World Motocross: “We’re really looking forward to coming to the UK again to help the young riders. For me it’s really important that we help put something back into the sport, and together with Brian we enjoy working with the youths to give them some tips and to help them. The track looks really nice and I am looking forward to meeting the riders.”
The cost is £40 per rider and the first three people to confirm their entry for the day will receive a signed replica race jersey almost identical to those worn by Bobryshev and Gonçalves.
Email info@revracing.co.uk with rider’s name, age, date of birth, parents name (if under 18), phone number, address, email address, and specify your machine. Entries will close on August 6 and are available on a strictly limited first come, first served basis.
