SS24 KTM rider Shaun Simpson had a mixed bag of results at round one of the Revo MXGB Championship in Culham, but managed to pull it together after an off in the second MX1 moto.
“We were hoping for a bit better result wise,” Simpson told DBR at the track.
“I felt pretty good in qualifying and ended up with P3 so that was alright, but in the first one I struggled to get in a bit of a rhythm and the track was kind of a tricky. I felt like I was pressuring Tommy for a couple of laps then he started creeping away and you just know it was going into the distance so fourth was as good as I can get in the first one which, you know, all things considered was pretty good.
“The second one I had just a bit of a problem with my rear brake on the third lap. After feeling pretty good I was kind of dicing up behind Bobby and Dylan and felt like I actually had something for them which was cool, but ended up on my head at the bottom of one of the hills because the brake just didn’t work.
“I’ll get back to the drawing board and hopefully come up to the next one and be that consistent.”
