Blake Baggett had a deal to race with the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM team through the 2021 season but he left at the end of 2020 after putting in some really solid results toward the close of the outdoor series.
He won the second moto at RedBud, then went 2-2 at Millville the next week but rumour has it that he wasnāt getting paid and heād finally had enough. There were a lot of expenses that went with his racing programme, including the maintenance of his riding and training facility at El Chupacabra Ranch in Florida.
Thereās no word on his plans for 2021 yet. Itās possible that heās waiting on spots to open up due to injuries or that he could just retire altogether. However, one manās loss is another manās gain and Joey Savatgy ā who lost his ride when the JGR/Yoshimura Suzuki team folded up in the off-season ā took Baggettās spot right away.
Savatgy will be joined by Justin Bogle who was a replacement rider on the team in 2019. Bogle has speed for days but a lot of people are worried that heās hit his head a few too many times ā concussions have knocked him out of a lot of races over the last couple of years.
