Red Bull KTM’s Cooper Webb is fully recovered from last season’s back injury and now has his sights set on regaining the Monster Energy Supercross red plate he surrendered to Eli Tomac in 2020.
Webb, who is partnered by Marvin Musquin in the 450 class, is pleased with his off-season training regime and says new WP suspension parts are ‘spectacular’.
āGetting number one back would be sweet. I mean, itās a dream come true when you finally get that first championship and itās what you work for, so to run it last year was great, although we werenāt able to keep it. This year, that motivationās definitely there to want it back,” said Webb.
“This season will be a lot different than normal ā starting in Houston and with the schedule having a format of three races in a week ā but Iām excited that weāre able to get back to racing, especially for me after missing a majority of the outdoor series with my back injury.
“The offseason went great riding and training with the guys down here at The Bakerās Factory. The bike is really good, we didnāt change too much, the chassis is the same and weāll have some new suspension stuff that is pretty spectacular.
“Iām looking forward to racing in Houston, itās always been a track that I really enjoy, the stadium is really nice and the dirt is always pretty dang good.
“Iām all healthy and 100 per cent healed so Iām just looking forward to getting things started and trying to go after a championship this year.ā
