Congratulations to Crescent Yamaha rider Jake Shipton who sewed up the Bridgestone British Masters MX1 title on Sunday at Cusses Gorse with a pair of solid third-placed finishes giving him the championship by 24 points.
Jake’s result makes it a clean sweep of the Masters’ Pro titles for the Dorset-based dealer after his team-mate Martin Barr won the MX2 title.

“I’m really happy,” said Jake. “I never thought I’d be in this position so to be consistent throughout the whole series was pretty good. I was on the podium every single round. This year I’ve been working on consistency and there have been more ups than downs which is a positive.
“It feels great and it’s good to give something back to Paul [Denning] from Crescent as well. He’s supported me for four or five years and he was there to see it so it was pretty cool.”
Jake’s still finalising his plans for 2020 but hopes to be able to release some news in the next couple of days.
