Jeffrey Herlings will get a sand race in before the 2019 Motocross of Nations when he competes in the Loon Beach Race in France.

We’ve spoken with the event organiser and Herlings is confirmed for this one.

If you’re not familiar with the Loon-Plage event, it’s a motocross beach race consisting of three 30-minute motos with around 50 pro riders. There’s also around 150 amateurs, 100 vets and kids expected at the Circuit de Loon-Plage on September 22.

2019 will see the sixth edition of the event ā€“ previous years have offered plenty of top riders rip it up on the sand, including Max Anstie, Harri Kullas, Matt Goerke, Nicolas Aubin, Cedric Soubeyras, Steve Ramon and more.

Entry costs are free for the 85cc class and girls, other riders it’s ā‚¬155. If you want to watch, it’s free for under 14s and ā‚¬20 for everyone else ā€“ surely that’s a bargain to watch the sand master at work.
