Ryan Houghton was seriously injured earlier today at Blaxhall while competing in the fourth round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship.
Houghton was involved in a big first-turn incident after which his team Rob Hooper Racing said he had suffered significant injuries but was stable and thankfully not in a life-threatening condition.
A short time ago in a post by his partner on Ryan’s own Instagram account, an update was offered that was a mix of upsetting news but also a relief to know that it wasn’t worse.

Here’s what Rebecca wrote: “Hi everyone Ryan’s other half, not a post I thought I’d be posting but here goes..unfortunately as you probably know he was involved in the crash at Blaxhall today.
“He has suffered a broken femur which requires surgery and a broken neck which thankfully should not cause any further damage and will heal like any other bone.
“We really appreciate your well wishes and for the help and care we received today. As you can imagine it’s been the toughest day for us all. I will be sure to share the lovely messages you are sending with Ryan. Love to you all Rebecca x.”
Our best wishes go out to Dirt Bike Rider’s former test rider. Heal up Ryan and we hope to see you soon.
