A new Maxxis tyre developed with the help and expertise of seven-time AMA Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath got off to a winning start last weekend with Maddii Racing’s Alberto Forato putting in a dominant display at Matterley Basin.
2019 marks the first year of competition for the all-new Maxxcross MX-ST tyre from Maxxis and in its first competitive outing in the hotly-contested EMX250 championship it allowed Forato to take two convincing wins and get his campaign off to a perfect start – the Italian young gun winning by nearly 10-seconds in both races.
It also helped power Andrea Gorini to an overall podium in the EMX2T two-stroke series, as he finished third on his Mandrile Racing Yamaha.
“We couldn’t have really asked for a better start to the 2019 campaign,” said Maxxis International UK managing director, Derek McMartin.
“We know that the work, effort, and development that has gone into the new MX-ST gives it a performance edge over its rivals, and that is already starting to show with these results.
