Glenn Coldenhoff will leave Red Bull KTM Factory Racing at the end of the season but will remain Orange as he switches to Standing Construct KTM, it was announced today by the team.
Coldenhoff has signed a multi-year deal with Standing Construct KTM which will see the 27-year-old Dutchman compete in the FIM Motocross World Championship until at least 2020.

He’s no stranger to the Standing Construct KTM family, racing the MX2 World Championship back in 2013 where he achieved his maiden Grand Prix win at the British Grand Prix, Matterley Basin.
“I am really happy to sign again with Standing Construct KTM,” he said in a statement from the team.
“I had several interested teams but I know the Standing Construct team and the people behind the team for many years now and I know they work very professionally and have the same goals as me. Their way of working, together with the experience I have with KTM and the suspension manufacturer WP, guarantee me to be able to ride one of the best bikes in the MXGP paddock.”
Moving up
Coldenhoff moved up to MXGP in 2015 with Rockstar Energy Suzuki and quickly showed he was ready for the big boys class, winning the Grand Prix of Latvia in his rookie season. He has since followed that up with a number of podiums but another win has so far eluded him.
He finished eighth in the championship standings in his rookie year and followed that up with seventh the following year. And seventh is where he currently sits in the points ā team and rider will work to try and break into the top five come 2019.
“I am extremely happy to sign Glenn again,” said Team Manager, Tim Mathys. “We experienced in the past what a dedicated and nice rider he is to work with, so he was absolutely a rider on top of our list. With him we have a top-five contender in the MXGP World Championship, which is a logical step since making our team debut inside the MXGP class this year, and also to enhance our close cooperation with KTM for the coming years.
