Yamaha Motor Europe and the Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250 Team have unveiled a three-man line-up to contest the 2021 European championship with existing team member Dave Kooiker being joined by new signings Andrea Bonacorsi and Jeremy Sydow.

Bonacorsi won this year’s EMX125 title and the 17-year-old Italian is ready to take the next step up on a very promising career ladder. Sydow returns to the class after health issues hampered his debut season in MX2.

The team won this year’s title with Thibault Benistant and is looking for a repeat performance in 2021.

“This year was fantastic,” said team owner Wim Hutten. “We are very happy that we have become European champions in the EMX250 class – it was our goal and we made it happen!

“Going into next year we will continue with Dave Kooiker. He is only 15 years old but we expect a lot from him in the future. He is a very talented rider. We are also happy that we have contracted Andrea Bonacorsi for next season. We think he could be a surprise inside the EMX250 championship.

“As the third rider we welcome Jeremy Sydow to our team. He is an experienced rider on the bike. We think we have a nice mix of riders with him. Our goal remains the same, we want to become European champions in the EMX250 class again. We are looking forward to 2021!”
