The Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship supported by Pro Clean proved to be somewhat unpredictable in 2017.
The eventual champions, although totally deserved, were perhaps not everyoneās top pick to win before the season began.
But that is of course why we love racing.
From the opening round at Culham in March through to the season finale at Foxhill come the end of August, all four championships were hard fought affairs with no single rider dominating. To prove that point there were no fewer than five different race winners in MX1 while MX2 saw six riders top the podium which proves thereās plenty of talent in these championships.
And the futureās looking bright too.
The MXY2 series ā that pitches the next generation of British Championship talent head-to-head and ran at five Maxxis rounds in 2017 ā delivered five different moto winners across the year. Some of these youngsters will be moving into the main championship for 2018 and we wish them luck!
To celebrate the 2017 championships the ACU has put together a Season Review programme and you can view it online ā just tap the link.
