This could be a huge red herring or it could be the biggest motocross bombshell in decades but someone we’ll refer to only as a ‘reliable source’ reckons Jeffrey Herlings has signed a €2.5 million deal to go to MXGP next season with the HRC Honda team.
With Big Red’s current 450 superstar Tim Gajser lining up a move Stateside in 2018 it makes perfect sense for Honda to have his replacement – with a year in MXGP already under his belt – ready to step into his boots.
Although that’s assuming the dynamite Dutchman doesn’t win the whole shooting match in his debut season on the big bikes.
