Canada Heights hosted the last round of the Michelin MX Nationals. Steven Lenoir opted to ride the 350 machine after wrapping up the title at the previous round.
Qualifying went well for Steven putting in the third fastest time while Liam Knight took 16th – sixth in MX2. Race one saw Steven get a good start while Liam was towards the back. Steven rode a solid race and took third at the chequers while Liam did well to claw his way back to 16th with a fifth in MX2.
Steven got another good start in race two and was placed sixth on the opening laps. Pushing hard early on Steven moved into second place and would stay there for the remainder of the race to take second Overall. Liam had another poor start but made progress on every lap to take home some valuable points and fifth overall on the day.
“I enjoyed racing on the 350 today,” said Steven Lenoir. “The track got pretty rough so it was tricky out there, but I’m pleased to take home another podium and looking forward to my last race on the 250 at FatCat in two weeks.”
Liam Knight said: “Today was okay – my starts were not too good which made both races hard work for me, but I’m happy to score points in both races and take home fifth overall.”
