With the second Honda 150 European Championship just weeks away, all entrants have been invited to Albaida, Spain, to participate in a two day training camp on March 22-23.
29 rivals from 10 different nations will come face to face for the very first time as preparations for the 2014 campaign continue.
The training camp will provide riders with the chance to become accustomed to the Honda CRF150R, and to receive expert instruction from professional racers to improve their riding skills.
They will be evaluated by a team of FIM Europe experts for physical and sports psychology status checks in order to identify areas which may be improved upon prior to the season start, as well as receiving sports, nutritional and medical evaluation to check the general health and body composition. And finally, all riders will be instructed in the procedures to be followed at the Motocross Grand Prix and in technical maintenance of the motorcycle.
Three-time British MX champion Gordon Crockard will once again be series coach and operations manager in 2014 and he will provide the young racers with the benefit of his experience.
Earlier in March, eight Dutch and Belgian riders earned a place in the exclusive Honda 150 European Championship following a selection day in Benelux, and the series now heads to Spain to prepare competitors for what will be a hugely significant year in the lives of all involved.
The latest addition to an already extended 2014 calendar proves Honda’s commitment to nurturing new motocross talent. By learning the nuances of the four-stroke machines that define modern motocross from a young age, the Honda 150 European Championship is giving aspiring future MX stars the strongest boost to their careers.

The entry package for the Honda 150 Championship includes use of the latest Honda CRF150R, transportation of the motorcycle to the races, technical and coaching support, fuel and tyres. All the bikes are completely identical and strictly controlled, meaning fair and equal racing in which rider talent is really highlighted. As an official support series to the FIM Motocross World Championship, the safety standards and medical support are of the highest level possible.
The championship winner will be promoted within the Honda Racing family and rewarded with the fantastic prize of a fully supported ride in the EMX250 series aboard a Honda CRF250R, as Filippo Grigoletto will do this season with the Honda Gariboldi Racing team after winning last year.
