There could be a delay for Weston Peick’s second surgery as he continues his recovery in intensive care at the hospital he was taken to after his crash in Paris last week.
On day six for Weston in ICU, his fiancĆ©e Kelly Cleland offered another injury update on his medical condition. Kelly reports that Peick is waiting to have his second extensive facial reconstruction surgery but due to “unpredictable trauma circumstances”, the operating room availability may not happen for a couple of days.
Peick is still relient on a tracheostomy tube for breathing but the swelling on his face is gradually decreasing. “There are so many hurdles yet to cross for recovery, yet I am so very thankful for any forward progress,” wrote Kelly. “Once again, thank you for all the heartfelt prayers, concern, and generosity.”
Update: Weston underwent his second surgery on Saturday, November 24.
