At the 2014 Monster Energy Genova Supercross in Italy Toyota/JGR Yamaha’s Justin Barcia was pushing Christophe Pourcel hard for the lead in the SX1 Final 2 when Barcia caught Pourcel’s bike – leaving Barcia on the deck. That off looked bad enough on its own but Eli Tomac was following close behind and was unable to avoid the fallen Barcia, landing on his head/shoulder area.
The race was soon red flagged and Barcia was taken to a local hospital. Barcia later tweeted about his injuries and you can read these below the video. Heal up quick Bam Bam.
